Hi, my name is Sam. I am the creator, photographer and crazy visionary for all things Sugared & Iced. I hope to make life a little brighter through the dessert and party ideas that live in my head. I am a writer, baker, crafter, party planner, holiday enthusiast and lover of pumpkins.
I have loved baking as long as I can remember and was fortunate to grow up with a mother who took her entertaining seriously. There is no such thing as opening a bag of chips for a few friends over, if there are not enough things in the house for a cheese display — no ones coming over. Always budget savvy I figured out how to make my own fancy desserts and repurpose the things I needed to give my food and events, big or small, the attention to detail they deserve. This combination has led me to the overzealous baker, entertainer and crafter I am today.
I live with my wonderful husband, our French Bulldog Huggs and two Guinea Pigs James and Potter.
Yes, that is me kissing a pumpkin on my wedding day. It’s okay my husband knew what he was getting into.
